Endothermic Gas Based Atmospheres

Modern endothermic gas based atmosphere heat treatment furnaces require efficient control of atmosphere and temperature to ensure quality and reliability overtime.  Atmosphere Engineering control systems integrate the flow control panel with the carbon and temperature control variables to minimize gas waste and provide real time feedback of furnace operation.

Nitrogen - Methanol Based Atmospheres

Nitrogen + Methanol can be used to build a base carrier gas within a heat treating furnace for hardening and carburizing applications.  The SmartMeth™ control system is designed to provide extremely accurate control over the introduction and quality of the atmosphere while also including multi-loop temperature, carbon control, and recipe management from a single full color touchscreen operator interface.

Nitriding Furnace Control Solutions with Single and Dual Stage Recipe Control

Nitrogen - Ammonia - Dissociated Ammonia Atmospheres

The nitriding control panel is a fully integrated control solution for atmosphere nitriding furnaces.  These panels provide profile based recipe management and data logging with precision flow controls to maintain the nitriding potential (Kn) within the furnace throughout the nitriding process.  Systems can be configured for both second stage diffusion using either nitrogen or dissociated ammonia depending on the process requirements.

DAGen™ - Dissociated Ammonia Generator

The DAGen™  is a robust ammonia dissociation system that utilizes our proprietary reaction core design to efficiently crack the ammonia molecule into hydrogen and nitrogen gases for nitriding applications.  The DAGen™ is equipped with a hydrogen sensor to ensure generator operation and gas quality at all times.
